A leading health department in Australia is seeking experienced part-time Staff Development Nurses for the Perioperative Department in Perth. The role involves facilitating nursing education, assessing training needs, and coordinating orientation programs. Ideal candidates will have a Registered Nurse qualification and a passion for developing nursing skills. This position offers a chance to be part of a dedicated clinical education team focused on excellence in patient care.
We have two part-time staff development nurse positions available within the Perioperative Department : Staff Development Nurse Operating Theatre (0.5 FTE / 38 hours per fortnight) and Staff Development Nurse Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (0.74 FTE / 56 hours per fortnight).
We are seeking two suitably experienced nurses to join the Surgical Directorate Clinical Education Team for the roles of Staff Development Nurse Operating Theatre and Staff Development Nurse Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.
In collaboration with the Nurse Educator, Surgery and the departmental Clinical Nurse Manager, the Staff Development Nurse is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the knowledge and skills of nursing staff in the designated unit, the planning and implementation of specific education and training programs and the provision of support for new staff, including orientation and preceptorship.

CAHS consists of four service areas : Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children's Hospital (PCH).
