Title: Cloud Solution Architect (AWS / GCP)

Location: Greenwood Village, CO (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term

Role Overview

The Cloud Solution Architect will design and deliver cloud architecture solutions across multiple products. This role provides technical direction to engineering teams, ensures alignment with technology and product roadmaps, and contributes to the definition of cloud architecture standards and best practices. The architect will collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, designers, and software engineers to drive sound solution decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce architecture blueprints to guide cloud solution development and implementation.
  • Create and present solution recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Define operational procedures, KPIs, health checks, monitoring, and escalation processes.
  • Identify project risks and pain points; develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Capture project lessons learned and translate them into architectural best practices.
  • Mentor and coach internal teams through training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to review requirements and identify platform enhancement opportunities.
Cloud & Security Architecture
  • Develop secure AWS landing zones, reference architectures, and security patterns.
  • Define cloud security policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Architect least-privilege access, MFA, and SSO solutions.
  • Implement encryption, key management (KMS), and data classification strategies.
  • Integrate security monitoring (SIEM, CSPM) and incident response automation.
  • Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security architecture reviews.
  • Promote DevSecOps practices across the SDLC.
DevOps & Operations
  • Develop CI/CD processes and orchestrate deployment workflows.
  • Create tools and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Establish best practices for DevOps, SecOps, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and deploy monitoring dashboards and automation solutions.
  • Support production and internal development environments in the public cloud.
  • Lead multiple development initiatives and communicate project status and metrics clearly.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud solutions (public, private, and hybrid).
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS and/or GCP, networking, load balancers, and security services.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable, and fault‑tolerant systems.
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and open‑source architectures.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience in cloud architecture.
  • 1–5 years of hands‑on experience with AWS or GCP.
  • 1–5 years of experience working in Linux environments.
  • 1–5 years of scripting experience (Bash or Python preferred).
  • 1–5 years of experience with Git‑based source control systems (GitHub, GitLab).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile development environments.
  • Proficiency with GCP services and CLI.
  • Experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes, GKE, or EKS.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TeamCity, Artifactory, DockerHub, and GitHub.
  • Experience administering databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and/or MSSQL.
  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) or equivalent certification.
