Job summary

A government education department is seeking a Full-Time Aboriginal Education Officer to enhance learning and well-being outcomes for Aboriginal students at The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial Public School. Responsibilities include supporting teachers and families while working closely with the local Aboriginal community. A commitment to the Aboriginal Education policy is essential. Position Information

The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people.

Aboriginal Education Officers provide assistance to teachers, Aboriginal students and their families to support improved learning, welfare and well‑being outcomes for Aboriginal students.
