Take control of a busy Gold Coast workshop, coordinating workflow, maximising productivity and keeping service operations running efficiently.

The Role

Our client operates a high-volume franchised dealership on the Gold Coast and is seeking a capable Workshop Controller to oversee the daily flow of work through its service department. This is a pivotal position requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workshop capacity, technician availability and customer delivery commitments.

You will coordinate repair orders, allocate work according to technician skills and availability, monitor job progress and maintain close communication with Service Advisors and workshop personnel. Your focus will be on maximising efficiency, minimising downtime and ensuring vehicles are completed to the required standards and within agreed timeframes.

You’ll Need

A proven background in automotive workshop control, service operations or a comparable supervisory position within a busy dealership environment will be essential. You will understand workshop processes, labour utilisation and the importance of effective job scheduling. Strong communication skills, sound technical knowledge and the confidence to manage competing demands are critical. Above all, you will be a practical problem solver who thrives in a high-volume environment and knows how to keep a workshop moving.

The Offer

A base salary of $80,000 to $85,000 is available, with a performance-based bonus structure providing on-target earnings of approximately $110,000. Working hours are 7am to 5pm. This is an opportunity to take ownership of workshop workflow in a substantial Gold Coast dealership where effective coordination makes a measurable difference. Relocation assistance will be considered for the right candidate, making this an attractive opportunity for experienced Workshop Controllers looking to move to the Gold Coast.
