Grand Motors Toyota on the Gold Coast seeks an experienced Workshop Controller to manage a high-volume service workshop in a fast-paced environment. The role requires leadership of technicians and proactive communication with clients and service advisors to keep work flowing smoothly.

You will drive performance metrics, uphold Toyota standards, and lead daily operations with energy and attention to safety. A strong customer-first mindset and a valid Queensland licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Workshop Controller in a high-volume service environment.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Current Queensland driver’s licence and valid work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Own daily scheduling and loading of a high-volume technician team to maximise throughput and efficiency.
• Drive workflow across the workshop floor and keep jobs moving, technicians productive, and customers informed.
• Act as the critical link between service advisors, technicians, and customers with clear communication at every touchpoint.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and ensure they are processed without delays.
• Lead the team to achieve CSI, productivity, and efficiency KPIs.
• Uphold Toyota service standards, warranty compliance, and workshop safety at all times.
• Coordinate with parts to minimise downtime and keep the bay running smoothly.
• Provide strong leadership energy to technicians and apprentices daily.

What You'll Do

• Own the daily scheduling and loading of a high-volume technician team to maximise throughput and efficiency
• Drive the flow of work across the workshop floor — keeping jobs moving, technicians productive, and customers informed
• Be the critical link between service advisors, technicians, and customers, ensuring clear and timely communication at every touchpoint
• Keep repair orders accurate, complete, and processed without missing a beat
• Lead the team to smash CSI, productivity, and efficiency KPIs
• Uphold Toyota service standards, warranty compliance, and workshop safety — every time, no exceptions
• Coordinate with parts to eliminate downtime and keep the bay doors turning
• Bring genuine leadership energy to technicians and apprentices every single day

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Workshop Controller — high-volume experience highly regarded
• A natural ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing your cool
• Strong communication skills and a presence that commands respect on the workshop floor
• A customer-first mindset backed by the drive to deliver results
• Proficiency with dealer management systems (experience with TUNE or similar highly regarded)
• Current Queensland driver's licence
