Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Technical Director with a strong Building Services background to join our national Building Engineering team. This senior leadership role combines technical and design leadership with project delivery and client engagement across major projects.

You will report to the Sector Manager and lead multidisciplinary teams across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering, driving quality outcomes, managing budgets, and pursuing new opportunities while mentoring staff and

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering degree with extensive Building Services experience.
• Chartered status or equivalent demonstrated competency.
• Proven track record in leading large, multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects.
• Lead project teams and manage delivery across a portfolio of projects.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and build strong relationships.
• Drive design management, technical reviews and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Support business development and client pitches to win work.
• Oversee budgets, pricing, contracts and financial performance.
