Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Technical Director for Building Engineering, a senior leadership role spanning technical direction, design leadership and project delivery. Based in multiple Australian cities, the position focuses on delivering high-profile multidisciplinary building projects and growing client relationships.

You will lead teams, manage budgets and contribute to business development while reporting to senior sector leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with extensive experience in building services in Australia.
• Chartered Engineer registration or equivalent.
• Proven senior technical, project or business leadership experience.
• Strong commercial understanding including budgets, programmes and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects.
• Lead project teams and deliver a portfolio of projects.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and build relationships.
• Provide design management, technical reviews and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Support business development, proposals and client presentations.
• Identify opportunities to grow services with existing and new clients.
