KBR Australia is seeking an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to manage international trade and export controls for the Australian Defence and Security Solutions business, partnering with business leaders to shape governance and risk mitigation.

You will oversee classifications, licences, training, and compliance across projects, with ITAR/FMS knowledge, and you must be able to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance; multiple city bases available (Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ITAR, FMS and other export controls across Australia, US and other jurisdictions.
• 5+ years Defence or related industry experience or a law/commerce degree with comparable exposure.
• Experience managing global export controls activities and third-party transfers.
• Ability to meet deadlines and support customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of export controls activities and governance across projects.
• Identify licensing requirements and develop plans to obtain and manage authorisations.
• Advise on classifications, regulations and commodity codes for project products.
• Support shipments and re-transfer of export-controlled material to ensure compliance.
• Develop training and serve as knowledge lead for export controls.
