Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to drive international trade compliance across Defence projects. You will coordinate governance, risk assessments, and licensing activities, working with senior stakeholders to ensure timely project fulfilment.

Role requires ITAR/FMS experience, a law or commerce background, and the ability to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance. Flexible locations across major Australian cities are possible.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ITAR, FMS and other export controls frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce or similar or 5+ years in Defence/export controls.
• Experience managing global export controls activities, risks and issues.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation at global forums on export controls and compliance.
• Identify licensing requirements and manage authorisations for projects and partners.
• Provide guidance on classifications, regulations and commodity codes for project products.
• Support shipments and re-transfers to ensure licence compliance.
• Track and improve export licence conditions across the organisation.
• Develop training and act as a knowledge contact for export controls topics.
• Support digitisation and automation of export controls processes.
