Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Australia seeks an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to manage international trade, export controls, and governance for our Australian business, aligning with ITAR, FMS and other frameworks.

You will lead risk assessments and collaborate with the Commercial Director to ensure compliant, timely project execution. You will develop mitigation plans, provide training on export controls, build stakeholder relationships, and ensure proper classifications and licencing across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ITAR, FMS and other export controls frameworks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
• Experience managing complex export controls programs and risks.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Australian security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation at global/internal forums on export controls and compliance.
• Identify licensing requirements and mitigate related risks for projects.
• Provide advice on classifications, regulations and commodity codes for project products.
• Support shipments and re-transfer of export-controlled materials to ensure licence compliance.
• Track and improve export licence conditions and maintain traceability.
• Develop and deliver training on export controls and related topics.
• Assist digitisation and automation of export control processes.
