Job summary

KBR's Australian Defence and Security Solutions business seeks an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to manage international trade and export controls, and oversee compliance and governance for the Australian arm. You will partner with business leaders and stakeholders to navigate regulatory changes and ensure confident compliance.

Working with the Commercial Director, you will drive governance, risk assessments and corrective actions at organisational and project levels.

Qualifications

• ITAR, FMS and export controls frameworks across Australia, US and other jurisdictions.
• Degree in Law, Commerce or 5+ years in Defence or related industry.
• Experience managing global export controls activities, risks and issues.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation at global forums on export controls and compliance.
• Identify licensing requirements and manage project authorisations.
• Advise on classifications, regulations and commodity codes.
• Support shipments and re-transfers to ensure licence compliance.
• Track licence conditions and maintain traceability across the organisation.
• Develop training and act as knowledge contact for export controls.
• Assist digitisation of export controls processes.
