Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to steer international trade compliance for the Australian defence business. You will partner with business leaders to identify licensing requirements, assess risks and implement governance across projects, suppliers and processes.

The role requires deep ITAR/FMS knowledge, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and the ability to secure Australian government clearance.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of ITAR, FMS and export controls across jurisdictions.
Degree in Law, Commerce or equivalent; 5+ years in Defence or related field.
Experience leading global export controls activities and risk management.

Responsibilities

Represent the organisation at international forums on export controls and compliance.
Identify licensing requirements and manage project authorisations with partners.
Advise on classifications, regulations and commodity codes for projects.
Support shipments and re-transfers to ensure licence compliance.
Track licence conditions and drive process improvements.
Develop training and act as a point of contact on export controls.
Support digitisation and automation of export controls processes.
