Job summary

KBR is seeking an Export Controls & Compliance Lead to shape and govern our international trade program within the Australian Defence and Security Solutions business. The role partners with business leaders and stakeholders to manage export controls, classifications, licences, and governance across projects.

Qualifications

• ITAR, FMS knowledge and other export controls frameworks across Australia and international jurisdictions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Commerce or similar discipline or 5+ years in Defence or related industry.
• Experience managing global export controls activities, risks and issues including third party recipients and retransfers.
• Ability to meet time-critical deadlines and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation at global internal and regional forums on export controls and compliance.
• Identify licensing requirements and risks for projects and develop plans to obtain and manage authorisations.
• Provide advice on classifications, regulations, and commodity codes for project products.
• Support shipments and re-transfer of export-controlled material to ensure compliance with licences and regulations.
• Implement processes to track export licence conditions and controls across the organisation.
• Develop training and act as a point of contact for export controls knowledge.
• Support digitisation and automation of export controls processes.
