Koko Black invites applications for a Store Manager in Como, South Yarra. You will own the store's day-to-day operations, drive commercial performance and cultivate a strong team culture focused on delivering the premium Koko Moments experience.

You'll lead, coach, recruit and develop staff, manage rostering and stock, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while upholding premium visuals and standards across the store.

Formación

• Previous Store Manager experience or strong Assistant Store Manager experience ready for next step.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing retail teams.
• Strong commercial acumen managing sales, budgets, labour and store performance.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Hands-on leadership style to motivate others.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in premium retail or customer-focused environment.
• Comfortable in fast-paced settings with high standards.
• Roster flexibility including weekends, public holidays and peak periods.
• Love of chocolate.

Your Role as Store Manager

As our Store Manager at Como, you'll take ownership of the store's day-to-day operations, commercial performance and team culture.

You'll be a hands-on leader who inspires your team, creates an engaging environment and ensures every customer receives the exceptional Koko Black experience we're known for.

You'll:

• Lead and inspire – create a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
• Coach and develop – recruit, train and support your team to grow their skills and confidence
• Drive commercial performance – take ownership of sales targets, budgets, labour and key performance indicators
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences – lead by example and create memorable Koko Moments
• Own store operations – oversee rostering, stock management, inventory, compliance and daily store performance
• Maintain premium standards – ensure exceptional visual merchandising, product presentation and store cleanliness
• Build team engagement – celebrate successes, provide meaningful feedback and create an environment where your team can thrive
• Lead with accountability – demonstrate our values of Passion, Leadership, Ownership and Trust in everything you do

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

• Previous Store Manager experience or strong Assistant Store Manager experience with a readiness to take the next step
• A proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing retail teams
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing sales, budgets, labour and store performance
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
• A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Experience in premium retail, hospitality or a customer-focused environment would be highly regarded
• Confidence working in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining exceptional standards
• Flexibility to work a roster including weekends, public holidays and peak trading periods
• And of course... a love of chocolate!
