Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Technical Director with a strong Building Structures background to lead major projects within our national Building Engineering team. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, and client engagement across high-profile projects.

You will report to the Sector Director, work with cross-disciplinary teams, and help expand our services with existing and new clients while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status and registrations.
• Strong experience in building services and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and design leadership across major Building Engineering projects.
• Lead project teams and ensure successful delivery of a portfolio of projects.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, build relationships and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Lead design management, technical reviews, and project delivery across disciplines.
• Support business development and client engagement, including proposals and presentations.
• Identify opportunities to grow services and win work with existing and new clients.
• Oversee budgets, contracts, and financial performance of projects.
