Job summary

Unisys is seeking an on-site Field Engineer in Australia to install, repair, and sustain hardware and software at customer premises. You will deliver end-to-end field engineering support for large, complex clients and take ownership of onsite service activity.

The role requires hands-on field experience, a technical certification or associate degree, and Australian citizenship with Baseline/NV1 clearance. You will collaborate with technical colleagues to ensure timely, effective service delivery

Qualifications

• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• At least 2 years hands‑on experience in field engineering or related technical support roles.
• Proven ability to perform maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting in customer environments.
• Must be an Australian Citizen
• Active Australian Security Clearance - Baseline/NV1 is a mandatory requirement

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, and provides technical maintenance for product and component hardware and software, primarily at customer premises.
• Provides the full range of field engineering support for large and complex clients.
• Takes complete ownership of onsite service activity.
• Performs advanced maintenance on all products, including low‑complexity installations.
• Provides technical feedback on equipment, systems, and processes to improve service delivery.
• Uses advanced tools and technical knowledge to resolve client problems and conduct scheduled installs.
• Identifies and resolves systemic issues within the team.
• Proactively supports team members with technical assistance and expertise.
• Contributes to improved client service metrics through reporting and documentation.
• Monitors technical and process issues, informing management and recommending improvements.
