Job summary

Roc Consulting seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive new business across Newcastle and the Hunter Valley’s underground coal mines. You will nurture relationships with mine operators, contractors, and procurement teams, while identifying projects and opportunities for growth.

Role is autonomous and territory-flexible, requiring travel to customer sites. Base salary is $120K with Super, fully maintained vehicle, and uncapped commission with $200K+ OTE.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience within the mining industry.
• Existing relationships across underground coal mines and mining companies throughout the Hunter Valley.
• Strong new business development and account management capabilities.
• Ability to travel across the Hunter Valley and visit customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across underground coal mines and mining companies in the Hunter Valley.
• Build and maintain relationships with mine operators, contractors, procurement teams and key decision-makers.
• Identify upcoming projects, supply opportunities and areas for business growth.
• Manage existing accounts while actively developing new customer relationships.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements and manage the sales process.
• Represent the business across mine sites and customer locations in the region.
