Job summary

Master Hire Pty Ltd in Morayfield is seeking a Hire Coordinator to manage the end-to-end hire process, coordinating drivers, customer service assistants, and management to ensure on-time deliveries and smooth contract completion.

You will handle enquiries, bookings and payments, maintain documentation, and support fleet utilisation while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced Brisbane-area branch.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment hire, logistics, transport coordination, or similar customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident in giving clear instructions to drivers and branch teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hire systems (Point of Rental, Baseplan) is advantageous.
• Mechanical or equipment knowledge is advantageous.
• Current driver's licence (mandatory).
• Availability to work occasionally on a rotating half-day Saturday roster.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt, professional communication across phone, email, and in person.
• Manage enquiries, bookings, payments, and hire contracts, ensuring accurate advice, seamless processing, and timely updates.
• Coordinate transport, equipment readiness, and servicing to ensure on-time deliveries and collections.
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor overdue hires, and support account management to minimise risk and ensure compliance.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and wider team to maximise fleet utilisation, respond to customer demand and keep branch operations running smoothly.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Branch Manager and help lead by example, contributing to a positive, safe and high-performing branch culture.

Job description

We are seeking a positive, motivated and customer-focused Hire Coordinator to join our growing Morayfield branch. This is a key role within the branch, coordinating the end-to-end hire process and ensuring our customers receive a smooth, professional experience from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and contract completion.

As 2IC to the Branch Manager, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day coordination of the branch, working closely with drivers, customer service assistants, mechanics and management to keep people, equipment and customer commitments on track. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation, teamwork, problem-solving and great customer service are essential.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in equipment hire, logistics, transport coordination, or a similar customer-facing role (preferred but not essential).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑first mindset.
