Job summary

Master Hire Pty Ltd is seeking a positive, motivated Hire Coordinator for our Morayfield branch. You will coordinate the end-to-end hire process, ensuring a smooth experience from enquiry to delivery, collection and contract completion.

As 2IC to the Branch Manager, you’ll work with drivers, customer service assistants, mechanics and management to keep people, equipment and commitments on track in a fast-paced environment. Availability for rotating Saturday roster is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment hire, logistics, transport coordination, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hire systems (Point of Rental, Baseplan) is advantageous.
• Current driver’s licence (mandatory).
• Availability to work occasionally on a rotating half-day Saturday roster.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt, professional communication across phone, email, and in person.
• Manage enquiries, bookings, payments, and hire contracts, ensuring accurate advice, seamless processing, and timely updates.
• Coordinate transport, equipment readiness, and servicing to ensure on-time deliveries and collections.
• Maintain accurate documentation, monitor overdue hires, and support account management to minimise risk and ensure compliance.
• Work closely with the Branch Manager and wider team to maximise fleet utilisation and keep branch operations running smoothly.

Job description

We are seeking a positive, motivated and customer-focused Hire Coordinator to join our growing Morayfield branch. This is a key role within the branch, coordinating the end-to-end hire process and ensuring our customers receive a smooth, professional experience from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and contract completion.

As 2IC to the Branch Manager, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day coordination of the branch, working closely with drivers, customer service assistants, mechanics and management to keep people, equipment and customer commitments on track. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation, teamwork, problem-solving and great customer service are essential.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Deliver exceptional customer service through prompt, professional communication across phone, email, and in person.

Provide day-to-day support to the Branch Manager and help lead by example, contributing to a positive, safe and high-performing branch culture.

• Confident in giving clear instructions to drivers and branch teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with hire systems (Point of Rental, Baseplan) is advantageous.
• Mechanical or equipment knowledge (advantageous).
• Current driver's licence (mandatory).
• Availability to work occasionally on a rotating half-day Saturday roster.
