BME Australia-Asia Pty Ltd in Brisbane seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager (Explosives) to drive sales growth across Australia, with a national remit and regular travel (up to 50%).

You will lead strategic and operational BD activities, engage with mining site and corporate stakeholders, and ensure compliance with Australian regulations while delivering value and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial engineering, business or equivalent mining explosives and BD experience.
• Minimum 7 years' strategic account management in mining/explosives services with quarry industry relationships.
• Ability to analyse competition and develop mining operations/competitive strategies.
• Working knowledge of Australian explosives regulations and hazardous area standards in blasting roles.
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and build strong relationships.
• Unrestricted Australian Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Client relationship management with mining sites and corporate offices.
• Develop strategic account plans with goals, revenue targets, risks and growth opportunities.
• Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing; prepare and submit tender responses.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities and report on revenue, margin and pipeline for each key mining account.
• Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, operations, technical services, HR, safety, finance).
• Provide product knowledge and technical insights; support commissioning, installation or maintenance of equipment and solutions at sites.
• Monitor contract risks, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare account performance reports, dashboards, and quarterly/annual reviews; present insights on market trends.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency for the client.
• Oversee delivery of major projects, technology implementations, or long-term service contracts.
