Job summary

AECOM seeks a Technical Director level Electrical Engineer to join our national Building Engineering Team, based in Sydney or Perth. You will lead a large multi-disciplinary group, shape project delivery, and contribute to landmark building projects across Australia and New Zealand.

You will drive governance, ensure regulatory compliance, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships to secure a strong project pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, ideally 20+ years consultancy experience.
• Chartership with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or eligible registration.
• Registered or eligible for RPEQ/RPEV at state level.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian codes, standards and regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with clients and teams.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams on high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary building projects across markets.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for electrical building services design.
• Ensure compliance with Australian codes, standards and best practices.
• Drive innovation and ensure high-quality, coordinated design outputs.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor and develop a high-performance multidisciplinary services team.
