Job summary

Nobbys Beach Surf Club on the sunny Gold Coast is seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to lead face-to-face operations and ensure smooth venue functioning in a licensed club environment.

You will work with the Venue Manager, supervise staff, and uphold high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service while coordinating a 4-day roster that balances days, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
• Experience with managing staff.
• Extensive knowledge of Liquor and Gaming Machine Act and AML/CTF.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the management, control, safety, and effective operation of the venue including cash transactions, privacy of information and public liability protection.
• Ensure the Club is operating efficiently and is compliant with Club policies.
• Ensure staff are trained in areas of the Club.
• Reinforce and adhere to workplace health and safety policies and proactively contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
• Continually promote marketing and promotional activities to customers.
• Ensure all club equipment is maintained and in good working order.
• Manage security of machines, stock, and money.

Would you like to work for a Surf Club right on the beach?

The Bears Group are looking for a fulltime Duty Manager for one of their amazing venues, Nobbys Beach Surf Club.

The Duty Manager is expected to lead by example and use their prior knowledge within the hospitality industry to ensure all employees grow. In conjunction with the Venue Manager, the Duty Manager will be committed to the smooth running of the venue and be responsible for the face-to-face operations required within a licensed club. This is a position of responsibility therefore requires a dedicated person who has strong attention to detail.

We have a great rotational roster on offer, with a 4-day week, that gives you a mix of days, nights and weekends to give you work life balance.

It is essential that you have:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager.
• Current relevant certificates including QLD RMLV.
• Approved Managers License or ability to obtain.
• Extensive knowledge of Liquor and Gaming Machine Act and AML/CTF.
• Knowledge and experience in Keno, TAB and Gaming.
• Excellent verbal communication skillswith the ability to build positive, professional relationships.
