Job summary

North Bondi RSL Club in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead shift operations, support the team and deliver a consistently high standard of service to members and guests. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will supervise front-of-house, bar and gaming teams, manage openings and closings, handle cash and incidents, and ensure compliance with RSA, RCG and WHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced hospitality supervisor.
• Experience within a club, pub, hotel, bar or other busy hospitality environment.
• Leadership style: confident and approachable.
• Customer service focus and member experience.
• Ability to stay calm, organized and decisive during busy periods.
• Understanding of hospitality compliance and operational requirements.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Current NSW RSA and RCG are essential.

• Coordinate staff breaks and allocation during busy periods to meet operational requirements
• Manage opening and closing procedures
• Complete cash reconciliation, banking and shift reporting
• Respond to member and guest queries, complaints and incidents
• Ensure RSA, RCG, gaming, WHS, security and Club procedures are followed
• Support the delivery of functions, bookings and events during your shift
• Identify and elevate significant staffing, operational or customer issues to Management.
• Provide clear shift handovers and communicate key issues to the management team

North Bondi RSL is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Venue Manager and working closely with the wider operations team, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the Club during your rostered shifts.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting the team and making sure our members and guests receive a consistently high standard of service.

You’ll be trusted to make decisions during your shift, respond to issues as they arise and ensure the Club operates safely, professionally and in line with our standards.

What you’ll be doing

Take responsibility for the smooth running of the Club during your rostered shift

Maintain strong service, presentation and member experience standards

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced hospitality supervisor

Experience within a club, pub, hotel, bar or other busy hospitality environment

A confident and approachable leadership style

A genuine focus on customer service and member experience

The ability to remain calm, organised and decisive during busy periods

Good understanding of hospitality compliance and operational requirements

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Current NSW RSA and RCG are essential.
