Job summary

Cherry Street Venue, operated by Cherry Sports Group in Ballina, NSW, is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead daily operations and foster a welcoming, professional, community-focused club environment.

You will supervise shifts, mentor staff, ensure service standards, and collaborate with venue leaders to maintain smooth operations and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a busy licensed venue.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Current NSW RSA and ARCG and Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support team members during day-to-day venue operations.
• Help ensure guests and members receive friendly, professional and consistent service.
• Oversee bar and venue operations during rostered shifts.
• Support responsible service standards, safety procedures and venue policies.
• Respond to operational issues, customer feedback and service challenges in a calm and practical way.
• Mentor, coach and develop team members.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful and accountable workplace culture.
• Work collaboratively with other Duty Managers and venue leaders.
• Support opening, closing, cash handling, stock control or other operational duties.

Lead the floor at a community-focused club in beautiful Ballina. Cherry Sports Group is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver great service, strong team culture and smooth day-to-day operations. About the role - You will play a key role in leading day-to-day venue operations and supporting a positive experience for members, guests and team members.

This role would suit a confident hospitality leader who enjoys working in a busy licensed venue, supporting people on shift, solving problems calmly and helping create a welcoming, professional and community-focused club environment.

• Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
