The Beachmere Hotel in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to run shifts across bar, bistro and gaming areas. You’ll lead the floor, ensure RSA/RSG compliance, manage staff, and maintain high service standards to deliver a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in a Duty Manager or supervisor role in a hotel, pub or club.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland liquor and gaming compliance.
• Excellent communication and people-management skills.
• Cash handling and reporting accuracy.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Desirable: First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Run venue shifts: opening/closing, cash handling, tills, banking and end-of-day reporting.
• Lead front-of-house team; briefing staff and allocating sections.
• Ensure liquor and gaming compliance (RSA/RSG), incident logs and patron care.
• Maintain high service standards; handle guest feedback professionally.
• Oversee gaming room: payouts, player care and compliance.
• Work with Venue Manager on rosters, events, promotions and community functions.

Beachmere Hotel is the local pub for the Beachmere community. People come in for a cold beer, a good feed, a punt and to catch up with friends. We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Duty Manager to run shifts across the venue and make sure every guest has a great time.

As Duty Manager you'll lead the floor across the bar, bistro and gaming areas, and you'll be the go-to person for staff and guests during your shift. You'll set the standard for service, compliance and atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include:

• Running the venue on shift: opening and closing, cash handling, tills, banking and end-of-day reporting
• Leading, motivating and supporting the front-of-house team, including briefing staff and allocating sections
• Making sure the venue meets all liquor and gaming legislation, including RSA and RSG practices, incident registers and patron care
• Keeping service standards high and handling guest feedback and complaints professionally
• Overseeing the gaming room, including payouts, player care and compliance
• Working with the Venue Manager on rosters, events, promotions and community functions
