Job summary

Spotlight Retail Group (SRG) is seeking a Store Lead to partner with the Store Manager in Melbourne, delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, and maintaining best-in-class merchandising and stock control. This role requires hands-on leadership of a high-volume department within Australasia’s largest craft, fabric and home interiors retailer.

You will champion a customer-centric culture, coach a busy team, and execute campaigns with strong attention to stock accuracy and store

Qualifications

• Strong retail leadership experience with a track record of driving sales and customer service excellence.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills to manage a fast-paced environment.
• Proven visual merchandising capability to create compelling in-store experiences.
• Experience in stock planning, replenishment, and loss prevention.
• Competent with basic IT systems and point-of-sale software.
• First Aid certification or willingness to be trained (fully funded).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily store operations and team leadership.
• Monitor stock levels and recovery within the department.
• Drive sales growth and achieve KPI targets for the department.
• Build and coach a high-performing team delivering exceptional customer service.
• Lead by example in all areas including merchandising and standards.
• Manage high volumes of stock and store presentation.
• Plan and execute catalogue campaigns and merchandising standards.
• Implement stock integrity initiatives to maximise department profit.
