Job summary

Spotlight Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a Store Department Manager to lead daily store operations and drive exceptional customer service. You will oversee stock control, merchandising execution, and catalogue campaigns while supporting the Store Manager to achieve department KPIs.

Ideal candidates bring strong retail leadership and visual merchandising experience, a hands-on attitude, and the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong retail leadership experience preferred.
• Visual merchandising experience.
• Physically capable to handle large stock.
• Owner's mindset for your department.
• Inspiring, resilient problem solver.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• First Aid certified or willing to be trained (fully funded).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Monitor stock recovery and stock levels.
• Drive sales growth and meet KPI targets.
• Develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Lead by example across all store areas.
• Oversee high-volume stock handling.
• Execute visual merchandising standards.
• Plan and launch catalogue campaigns.
• Support stock integrity initiatives.
