Job summary

Spotlight Retail Group in VIC, Australia is seeking a proactive Dept Manager / Team Leader / Assistant Store Manager to guide daily store operations and drive sales. You will support the Store Manager, lead a busy team, and uphold Spotlight’s standards.

Ideal candidates bring strong retail leadership, visual merchandising expertise, and a hands-on approach to stock and KPI achievement. We offer a competitive salary, quarterly profit share, and growth through leadership training.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team and delivering results.
• Visual merchandising excellence and store presentation.
• Ability to manage high volumes of stock and meet KPI targets.
• Owner's mindset for, and accountability for, department outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• Proficiency with basic IT tools and store software.
• First Aid certification or willingness to be trained.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations.
• Monitor daily stock recovery in your department.
• Achieve sales growth and meet department KPI targets.
• Build and lead your team to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Lead by example in all aspects of store operations.
