Job summary

Tutt Bryant Hire is seeking a Hire Controller at the Laverton branch. You will be the friendly, organised link between customers, drivers, workshop and the branch team, handling customer interactions, schedules and documentation.

No two days are the same, with comprehensive training and support provided. This long-term role suits someone organised with strong people skills and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service or administration experience.
• Confident phone manner and clear communication skills.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organised.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Basic geographical knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding areas.
• Experience in hire, logistics, scheduling or fleet coordination is an advantage but not required.
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential (training can be provided).

Responsibilities

• Providing professional, friendly service to customers face-to-face and over the phone.
• Handling a high volume of inbound calls and enquiries.
• Coordinating delivery and collection schedules for hired equipment.
• Preparing and maintaining hire agreements and job documentation.
• General administration and data entry.
• Working closely with the branch team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
