Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a Correctional Education Officer across NSW. You will plan, develop, deliver and evaluate LLND courses to meet accredited requirements and reduce re-offending.

You will work with the internal education service provider AEVTI to provide language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy in General Education programs. You will build LLND classes, enrol learners, conduct pre-enrolment proficiency reviews and deliver contextualised lessons with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Graduate Diploma in Education with teaching qualification.
• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/16/22 or successor).
• Current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel between centres.
• Relevant teaching experience in LLND and adult education.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain LLND classes using OIMS.
• Enrol learners into education programs following established processes.
• Plan, deliver and assess courses meeting accreditation standards.
• Coordinate LLND programs across Correctional Centres.
• Maintain learner records and progress in accordance with systems.
• Provide offender education pathway reports.
