Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice seeks a Teacher for Corrective Services NSW across multiple NSW centres. You will plan, develop, deliver and evaluate courses aligned to accredited standards, contributing to reduced re-offending and improved community safety.

You will support LLND in general education and training, manage learner records, and engage with offender education pathways while working within established policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Graduate Diploma with a relevant non-education qualification.
• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110/16/22 or successor) with related experience.
• Willingness to travel to multiple correctional centres within the preferred region.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain LLND classes and allocate learners using OIMS.
• Invite eligible learners to participate in LLND programs.
• Conduct pre-enrolment proficiency reviews to tailor education programs.
• Enroll learners into appropriate programs following established processes.
• Deliver classes and assessments aligned with adult learning principles.
• Develop lesson plans and resources meeting accredited course requirements.
• Participate in course evaluation and assessment validation/moderation.
• Maintain administrative records of learner participation and progress.
• Support offender pathway planning with regular progress reports.
