Job summary

City of Palmerston Library is seeking a Customer Experience Officer to welcome visitors, answer questions and help people access information and services. You’ll assist with computers, printers and eBooks, keep shelves tidy, and prepare new materials for borrowing.

You will support library programs and connect with diverse community members while maintaining a patient, respectful, and professional approach.

Qualifications

• Great customer service with listening, patience and practical help.
• Experience in a public library is preferred; willingness to learn is essential.
• Current Ochre Card is required to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help them find information, resources and services.
• Assist users with computers, printers, ebooks and other technology.
• Keep the collection organized and prepare new books and resources for borrowing.
• Support library programs and community activities and work with teammates.
