Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Library Customer Support Officer in St Kilda to provide front-line service to visitors and support daily customer enquiries in the public sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in library support and front-line customer service.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with a broad range of customers.
• Confidence handling enquiries and providing accurate information.
• Familiarity with library procedures and routine transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome library visitors and provide information about services.
• Respond to customer enquiries in person, by phone and through service channels.
• Assist customers to access library resources and memberships.
• Process routine customer transactions and keep records up to date.
• Maintain neat, accessible public spaces for visitors.
• Refer complex enquiries to the appropriate team member.
• Support daily library operations including opening/closing.
