Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking energetic Library Officers to provide exceptional customer service across our four libraries. You will assist at the desk, shelve materials, and support community programs while helping patrons with digital technologies and collections.

You will join a Client Services team that values literacy, learning and service to the community, with opportunities to work across multiple branches and participate in ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Enthusiasm for library services, collections and programs.
• Strong communication skills across age groups.
• Ability to work across multiple library locations in the Rockhampton Region.
• Physical ability to perform bending, squatting and lifting up to 15kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service at the desk and in the community.
• Assist with shelving and managing library collections.
• Deliver community programs and help users with digital technologies.
• Support collection management and technology assistance as part of Client Services.
• Comply with Police Check requirements and library policies.
