Job summary

World Gym Penrith is seeking an energetic, sales-focused casual receptionist to join our team. You’ll blend retail sales, member service and front-desk duties, owning the Pro Shop experience and helping members find the right products.

A strong interest in fitness and supplements, plus a friendly, proactive approach, will help you build product knowledge and drive member satisfaction across retail, café and gym floor. This role requires availability across early mornings to evenings and weekends.

The Opportunity

World Gym Penrith is looking for anenergetic, sales-focusedand customer-driven Casual Receptionistto join our team.

This is a hands-on role combiningretail sales, member service, BarbellCaféand day-to-day club operations.You’llbe a key point of contact for members while taking ownership of the Pro Shop experience, helping members find the right products and contributing directly to the club’s retail performance.

You’llneed to be available to work across a range of shifts, including4:30am-10:30pm weekdays and 6am-6pm weekends & public holidays.

WhatYou’llDo

• Work towards and achieveretail sales targets and KPIs
• Proactively engage with members andidentifyopportunities to recommend relevant products
• Develop strong knowledge of supplements, sports nutrition, apparel, lifting accessories and other Pro Shop products
• Confidently educate members on products and help them make informed purchasing decisions
• Build strong relationships with members and encourage repeat business
• Process sales accurately through the POS system

Member Service & Reception

• Welcome members and visitors and create a positive first impression
• Provide friendly, professional service and respond to member enquiries
• Answer phone calls andassistwith general reception enquiries
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk
• Build positive relationships with members and contribute to a welcoming club environment
• Prepare shakes and coffees and provide friendly, efficient service
• Assistmembers with café enquiries and product selections

Stock & Retail Operations

• Assistwith stock ordering and replenishment
• Receive and process incoming stock
• Monitor stock presentation, rotation,availabilityand expiry dates
• Identifylow or slow-moving stock and communicate requirements to management
• Build andmaintainattractive, well-presented retail displays
• Assistwith purchase orders and general retail administration
• Maintainhigh standardsof cleanliness and presentation across reception, retail,caféand gym floor areas
• Assistwith general club duties to ensure the facility is clean,organisedand welcoming
• Take ownership of thesmall detailsthat contribute to a great member experience

About You

We’relooking for someone who is:

• Passionate about fitness,trainingand the gym environment
• Genuinely interested insupplements, sportsnutritionand fitness products, with the willingness to continually develop your product knowledge
• Sales-driven and motivated by achieving targets and KPIs
• Confident engaging with members and recommending products based on their needs
• Experienced in retail, sales,hospitalityor customer service
• Confident communicating with a wide range of people and building strong relationships
• Comfortable initiating conversations and proactively selling rather than waiting for customers to approach you
• Reliable,organisedand able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
• Available to work across a range of shifts, including4:30am-10:30pm weekdays and 6am-6pm weekends & public holidays.
• Professional,energeticand willing to get involved across all areas of the club
• Interested in developing your skills and building a career within the fitness industry
