Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation while also performing manual testing to ensure software quality. You will build robust regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, and collaborate with developers, product teams, and customer-facing groups to uphold quality across the SDLC.

The role emphasizes modern testing strategies, including AI-assisted QA and behavior-driven development with Gherkin, across Fortune 500 and startup projects.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Hands-on Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
