Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile applications. You will build regression tests, run smoke and integration testing, and document test outcomes to ensure software quality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product and customer-facing teams, CI/CD integration, and on-call rotation, with a focus on holistic quality and scalable QA practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation or software quality assurance.
• 4+ years of automated testing experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Gherkin for BDD.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building agentic quality engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions and correlate to bugs.
• Identify and elevate quality-related risks to the product/process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality across SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback into testing.
• Assist in refinement and estimations for accurate planning.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
