Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

You will build regression automation scripts, execute diverse testing types, and document feature behavior while collaborating with product teams to ensure quality across the SDLC. Remote-friendly with opportunities for growth and AI-assisted QA improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate risks to product quality.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality throughout SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repositories and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
