Job summary

Svitla Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst for a full-time, 40 hours/week role in LATAM. You will provide real-time advisory support, investigate spend anomalies, and work with top-spending R&D teams to keep quarterly cloud costs within forecast variance.

You will also handle cost awareness and education, maintain the wiki, and model team cost projections. The role excludes owning the annual budget process and vendor contracts, which remain with full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Senior-level FinOps (cloud financial operations) experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and produce written root-cause analyses.
• Experience serving as a partner-facing resource, advising and consulting directly with R&D and engineering teams.
• Cloud cost forecasting experience, including aligning central forecasts with team-level projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring LLM spend.
• Experience with cost modeling and tracking team investments and projects.
• Proficiency with Jira for documenting investigations and Slack for real-time and asynchronous support.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation and wiki spaces and contributing to recurring reporting, such as showback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance, triaging and answering inbound questions in real time via Slack and other channels.
• Engage with key spending teams to review monthly cloud spending and surface actionable cost opportunities; capture meeting notes and summaries with recommendations.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies and deliver root-cause analyses with optimization recommendations; document in Jira.
• Participate in monthly forecasting, aligning central forecasts with team projections and documenting plans for spend.
• Contribute cost driver knowledge to showback reporting and top-spending team meetings.
• Support cost awareness and education, audit and update the wiki space.
• Model team cost projections and respond to requests via Slack, email, and other channels.
