Job summary

Medallia’s SRE and Production Services team is seeking a Staff FinOps Analyst to lead cloud cost management across a hybrid environment. The role requires hands-on experience with AWS and OCI cost management and the ability to learn Azure and GCP as needed.

The candidate will improve cost visibility, drive savings opportunities, and strengthen budgeting and alerting while promoting financial accountability across technical and business teams. Hybrid, in-office 3 days per week in Buenos Aires.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FinOps and cloud cost management experience with AWS and OCI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud pricing, budgeting, alerting, and cost optimization.
• Experience using APIs and Bash or shell scripting for data collection and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across engineering, operations, finance, procurement, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cloud spend, usage, commitments, and cost trends; identify and track savings opportunities.
• Evaluate and manage commitment and discount programs (Savings Plans, RI, OCI commitments).
• Develop budgets, forecasts, dashboards, alerts, and recurring cost reporting.
• Use APIs and CLI tools to extract billing and usage data; automate data collection with Bash/shell scripts.
• Maintain a prioritized cost optimization backlog and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement savings.
• Support cloud cost governance including tagging, ownership mapping, and showback/chargeback inputs.
