AgileEngine seeks a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization. The role requires APAC business hours overlap, with evening/night shifts aligned to LATAM/US time zones and PST/CST overlap.

You will partner with R&D to review spend, forecast budgets, and surface opportunities. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams.
• Forecasting experience aligning forecasts with team plans.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring spend.
• Cost modeling and team investment tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira and Slack for documentation and collaboration.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC business hours with PST and CST overlap.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive engagement with APAC teams to review monthly spend and surface cost opportunities.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; conduct investigations and document root causes.
• Participate in monthly forecasting and align central forecasts with team plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost-driver knowledge in team meetings.
• Maintain wiki documentation and support cost education initiatives.
• Model team cost projections and respond to help requests via Slack and email.
