AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to guide engineering teams on cloud costs, optimization, and spend governance. The role requires overlap with APAC business hours and PST/CST windows, with a flexible mix of remote and office work.

You will partner with R&D teams, forecast monthly spend, investigate anomalies, and provide root-cause analyses with actionable recommendations. You will document findings in Jira, maintain wiki spaces, and contribute to Showback and cost

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams.
• Cloud cost forecasting experience with team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring LLM spend.
• Cost modeling and team investment tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira for documenting investigations and Slack for real-time support.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation/wiki spaces and recurring reporting (Showback).
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Engage APAC-based teams to review monthly cloud spending and surface cost opportunities.
• Monitor cloud/AI/LLM spend for anomalies and conduct structured investigations with root-cause analyses.
• Produce actionable optimization recommendations and document work in Jira.
• Contribute to monthly forecasting with team cohorts and document spend plans.
• Support Showback reporting and discuss cost drivers in top spending meetings.
• Assist Cost Awareness and Cost Education efforts and update wiki space.
• Model team cost projections and respond to requests via Slack and email.
