Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, owning reliable automation and delivery of data pipelines.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data workflows using Glue, Athena, and S3. You will design observability, manage MWAA/Airflow, and contribute to security, scalability, and developer experience.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CDK/CFN.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration know-how.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infra.
• Develop and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure via IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable templates for data engineers.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate MWAA/Airflow workflows and handle upgrades and scalability.
• Ensure security best practices across data platform and IAM."
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
