Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience across multiple tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS or Kubernetes).
• Observability systems for data/platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/AWS CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for SLA and incident response.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Operate container/compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Manage workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale ingestion.
• Enforce security best practices: Secrets Manager, least privilege IAM, network segmentation.
