Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data engineers. You will work with AWS Glue, Athena, S3, and MWAA for orchestration, while driving security and observability across the platform.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation or CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and security.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform or CDK for managing production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templated pipelines.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and perform post-mortems.
