Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities in an AWS-first environment.

You will build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3. Collaboration with data engineers, data scientists, and security teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services including S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager.
• Hands-on experience with Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle and security features.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems for data and platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure reliability and fast incident response.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and production-grade data pipelines.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and perform post-mortems.
