Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. Hybrid role, AWS-first, focused on reliability, automation, and data pipeline delivery. You will build cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for data products, while shaping data pipelines with Glue, Athena, and S3.

You will own observability, security, and platform reliability, collaborating with data scientists and security teams to ship scalable data solutions.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Hands-on data engineering experience is required.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing).

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure via IaC.
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics and alerts.
• Develop and maintain DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Design and operate orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Mentor engineers and participate in architecture decisions.
