Proofpoint seeks a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role blends platform engineering and data infra, responsible for reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infra (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data teams to ship data products faster and more safely. Strong emphasis on Glue, Athena, S3, and observability.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform Eng or SRE with ≥2 years data eng work.
• Deep expertise in AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Proficiency with IaC (Terraform / CDK) and CI/CD tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ETL jobs and data infra.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure (S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation).
• Own observability stack (metrics, logs, alerts) for data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion/transformation.
• Enforce security best practices (Secrets Manager, IAM, network segmentation).
• Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into scalable infra.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; mentor junior engineers.
