Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on an AWS-first platform.

You’ll build cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and data infrastructure to empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products quickly. You will work across Glue, Athena, S3, and MWAA, with a strong emphasis on security, observability, and developer experience.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, with ≥2 years in data engineering.
• Strong AWS core services experience (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Experience with Glue (ETL jobs), Athena, and S3 data lake.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Ability to design and operate observability systems for data/platform services.
• Excellent communication to translate ops concerns for technical and non-technical audiences.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and/or CDK.
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts for SLA compliance.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion/transformation.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
