Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery for data pipelines and analytics, building cloud infrastructure on AWS and CI/CD tooling to empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products quickly and safely.

You will work across data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, focusing on production-grade pipelines, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE, with data engineering exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS with IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts, incident response for data pipelines.
